1. What is the dress code for the wedding ceremony?
The dress code is "cocktail beach attire" or "beach cocktail attire," which allows for a balance of dressy and comfortable, beach-appropriate outfits like midi dresses, jumpsuits, and linen. Since the ceremony is on the beach, we recommend light, breathable fabrics and comfortable shoes suitable for sand.
2. Where will the ceremony and reception be held?
The wedding ceremony will take place at 6:45 PM on North Clearwater Beach, the beach entrance is located on 1 Avalon Street Clearwater Beach. Guest seating is at 6:15 PM, so please arrive early to ensure you're seated before the ceremony begins.
The reception will immediately follow at Shephard’s Beach Resort, located at 619 S Gulfview Blvd, Clearwater Beach, FL 33767, starting at 8:00 PM.
3. Will transportation be provided to the ceremony? Can I drive my own vehicle to the wedding ceremony location?
Yes! Transportation will be provided to and from the hotel. The private Jolly Trolley will pick up guests at 5:30 PM from Shephard’s Beach Resort for the ceremony in the front of the hotel. If you are driving your own vehicle to the ceremony location , a municipal lot is located a 6 Avalon Street Clearwater Beach. If guests choose to arrive early to the destination on their own, there are a few bars and restaurants located along Mandalay Ave and Avalon Street.
4. What time should we arrive at the ceremony?
Guest seating is at 6:15 PM.The ceremony will begin promptly at 6:45 PM.
5. We arrived early to the ceremony location. Ceremony Pre-Game or Cool off ?
If you’re looking to kick off the celebration early or need to cool off before the ceremony, head over to the Shipwreck Bar, Avalon Hotel or Reefers Social Club located just a few blocks from the ceremony site, it’s the perfect spot to grab a drink, relax, and get in the wedding spirit. Just don’t get too comfortable — we still need you at the ceremony on time! 🍹🍸
6. Is there parking available in Clearwater Beach?
Yes, Valet parking is available at Shephard's Beach Resort for your hotel stay and the reception. In addition, throughout Clearwater, there is public parking available in certain beach areas. Please plan accordingly to account for parking availability. Many streets are resident only parking and by permit only.
7. Can I bring a plus-one?
If you have received a formal invitation with a plus-one, you are welcome to bring them. If you’re unsure, please check with us before confirming.
8. Do you have a wedding registry?
Yes, we have created a wedding registry here. Thank you for your generosity!
9. What hotels are nearby?
We have a room block reserved at Shephard’s Beach Resort. Rates are $229 per night for a Pool View Room and $209 per night for a Studio or King Room. We recommend booking early to secure your room! If you wish to stay at a different hotel, there are numerous options located near Shephard's Beach Resort. Here’s a list of some great places nearby: Sandpearl Resort, The Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach Resort & Spa, Clearwater Beach Marriott Suites on Sand Key, JW Marriott Clearwater, Opal Sands, Wyndham Grand.
10. What is the weather like in July?🌞🌊
Expect warm temperatures with highs around 90°F (32°C) during the day and cooler evenings. We recommend dressing comfortably for the warm weather and bringing sunscreen for the ceremony on the beach.
11. Are there any activities or things to do in Clearwater Beach and Dunedin?
Yes! Clearwater Beach and the nearby town of Dunedin offer many exciting activities such as visiting Pier 60, Clearwater Marine Aquarium, Honeymoon Island State Park, and exploring Dunedin Downtown. See our Things to Do section for more information.
12. Can I take photos during the ceremony and reception? 📸
Yes! We encourage guests to take photos during the ceremony. We will be creating a QR code for guests to upload and share their photos from the weekend.
13. Will there be a gift table at the reception?
There will not be a gift table at the wedding. We kindly ask that you consider contributing to our registry instead.
14. What will be on the reception menu?
Our reception will feature a variety of delicious, thoughtfully prepared dishes to delight your taste buds.

Absolutely! If you’re having such a great time and don’t want the night to end, we’ve got you covered. Shephard’s Beach Resort has the Wave Nightclub open until 2:30 AM! So, if you’re still ready to hit the dance floor, grab a drink, or simply keep the celebration going, head on over to the Wave for more fun, dancing, and possibly a few more "cheers!" 🕺💃
